Jim was born in Clinton on November 2, 1942, the son of Bernard and Mary Kay (Bascom) Driscoll. He attended Preston Schools. Jim married Patricia “Pat” Dunn on July 3, 1959 in Preston. They were married for 62 years. Jim is remembered for his tremendous work ethic and love for family. He began his career by working for Butschi Painting in Preston. He then opened Driscoll’s Body Shop, while working full time for 31 years at International Paper in Clinton. During this time he was also a volunteer fireman in Preston. While working multiple jobs, he was still able to find time to spend with his kids, and he never missed one of their games. He especially enjoyed hunting and trapping with his sons Jim and Tim, and his daughter Tammy. When he retired, you could often find him mowing the yard or tinkering with his John Deere tractors. For recreation, he played cards with his wife Pat and friends, where he was well known for bidding “8 No Trump”. Above all, Jim cherished the time he spent with his family. He loved cheering for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at their sporting events; and nothing made him happier than seeing his great-grandchildren smile.

Jim is survived by his wife Pat; 2 children, Jim (Brenda) Driscoll, Jr. of Fulton and Tammy (Paul) Gerdes of Fulton; 7 grandchildren, Amber Temple (James Schaefer), Amy (Jason) Craft, Jimmy (Krista) Driscoll, III, Tyler Driscoll, Ryan Driscoll (Mackenzie Ernst), Austin Driscoll (Ashley Wilkerson), and D.J.
