Dorothy A. Langrehr, age 90 of Clinton, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at Prairie Hills. A graveside service will be held at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Dorothy was born on the family farm near Charlotte, IA on December 18, 1930, the daughter of George and Blanche (Farrell) Hansen. She attended Charlotte schools and graduated from Clinton High School. Dorothy married Edward M. Langrehr on October 29, 1949 at the Little Bit of Heaven Chapel in Davenport. Ed passed away on September 2, 2016. She and her husband were members of the Loyal Order of Moose, Eagle Club, and NARVRE (National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees). Dorothy enjoyed baking, cooking, and gardening.
Dorothy is survived by 3 sons; Steve Langrehr of Clinton, Edwin (Brenda) Langrehr of Fulton, and Jeffrey (Sara) Langrehr of Davenport; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer, Hope, Isaac and William; and 2 great grandchildren Bridgett and Bryce. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Thomas and John; and four sisters, Gladys, Winifred, Patricia, and Carmilla.
