Deborah Rae Stillings age 61 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday June 2, 2021 in the comfort of her home with family. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday June 12th 2:00 PM at the Moose Lodge, Clinton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday June 13th at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded and a private family burial will be held at a later date. Deborah was born on August 14, 1959 in Berlin, WI, the daughter of Arwayne and Bonnie (Timm) Wiese. She graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1977 and continued on to college at Clinton Community College. After college she worked as a secretary. She married Michael Stillings on March 14, 1981 in Clinton. Deborah was a proud homemaker and stayed very busy raising her daughter and keeping up the home. She volunteered in many activities such as Sunday school, Bible School, PTA and Girl Scouts. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved to bake cookies with her daughter and grandsons. Her grandsons were her pride and joy. She was a kind and giving person, always putting other people’s needs before her own.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Mindy (Nick) Madry of Aurora, IL and their two children Aiden and Kelan; her sister Cindy Wiese (Linda Niemann) of Asbury, IA; her brother Eric Wiese of Dubuque, IA and his two sons Brandon (Brooke) Wiese and Jared (Whitney) Wiese; her brother Fred (Kristine) Wiese of Burnsville, MN and his three sons Alexander, Zachary and Nathaniel Wiese; her sister Gail (Kevin) Larson of Sarona, WI and their two children Kyle and Abigail Larson; her father Arwayne Wiese of Dubuque, IA; the Stillings Family; and many wonderful friends. Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Stillings; mother, Bonnie Wiese; grandparents; and nephew, Justin Kane.
The family would like to thank Dr. Anoop Aggarwal and staff, Good Samaritan Society Staff and Taylor Frederick and the staff of Mercy One Hospice for the kind care given to Deb during her cancer journey. In addition, the family extends appreciation and gratitude to Deb’s dear friends: Bruce Abbott, Kathy Layton Johnson, and Linda Moore.
