Christopher Paul Collopy, age 66 of Clinton, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at MercyOne. According to his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services at this time. Inurnment will take place at St. Irenaeus Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Chris was born on April 20, 1955 in Clinton, the son of Edward and Mary (McDonald) Collopy. He graduated from Clinton High School. Chris married Debra Farwell on February 2, 1991 in Clinton. He worked as a pipefitter/welder for IPSCO. Chris was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan and enjoyed motorcycles, swimming, and skating on the river when he was younger.
Chris is survived by his wife Debra; a step-son Jason (Amy) Smith of Peoria, IL; two step-grandchildren Maggie and Molly Smith; and a brother Steve (Debra) Collopy of Epworth, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
