Brenda Kay Pringle age 67 of Folletts, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at her home. In following Brenda’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the DeWitt 4H Fairgrounds. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Brenda was born in Kirksville, Missouri on August 28, 1953, the daughter of Lyle and Donna Glaspie. She graduated from Camanche High School in 1971. Brenda married Mike Pringle on January 22, 1972 in Camanche. She and her husband owned and operated Folletts Tap. She also worked at Wapsi Willies, and was also employed at several food service industries some of which included West Wing Place in DeWitt, Bridges and at Park Vista in Camanche. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Camanche. Her grandkids and family were her life. She enjoyed planting her garden, flowers, and feeding the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed spending time at the cabin at Rock Creek, boating and being on the river. Brenda was a good friend to everyone she met and was known for her quick witted one liners also known as “Brenda-isms”.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Mike; 4 daughters, Tricia (Doug) Crank of DeWitt, Amberly (Nick) Stelpflug of DeWitt, Dorothy (Pat) Hughes of Low Moor and Pamela (Landon) Ewoldt of Traer, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Taylor, Drew, Brooke, Maddyn and Kessley; 4 sisters, Linda (Kenny) Fahlbeck of Folletts, Mary (Rex) Sibley of Des Moines, Debbie (Kenny) Harmon of Camanche and Twila (Aaron) Kyarsgaard of Camanche and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sandra “Moby”. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
