
Aletha A. Roeder age 75 of Fulton passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Rockford, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 4th at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, and from 9:30 am until the service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Glahn Cemetery, rural Charlotte.
Aletha was born in Clinton on February 3, 1951, the daughter of Arlo and Velma (Fallesen) Ketelsen. She graduated from Northeast High School. Aletha married Kenneth Roeder on January 8, 1972 in Petersville. She was employed as the Office Administrator at Clifton Gunderson, later Winkle, Parker, and Foster retiring in 2012. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Clinton YWCA. She loved attending her grandchildren’s events and shopping with friends. Aletha also enjoyed reading, cooking & baking for others.
Aletha is survived by her husband Kenneth; 2 children, Carrie Anne (Cory) Huisenga of Fulton and Blaine (Jenni) Roeder of Chicago; 5 grandchildren, Blake (Jennifer Ruesch) and Trey Shallenbarger, Hannah and August Roeder, and Tanner (Emily) Huisenga; 2 brothers, Keith (Lyn) Ketelsen of Cordova IL and Robb (Lori) Ketelsen of Lexington, IL; 3 sisters, Arla Rae (Francis) McMahon of Charlotte IA, Rebecca (Larry) Musel of Clinton IA, and Andrea Fischer of Bellevue IA; a sister-in-law, Kathy Ketelsen of DeWitt IA, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Don. Memorials may be made to the YWCA Pool or Fulton Jr. Football. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
