
Norman Joseph Holle, 82 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 12th at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the service hour at the church. Following the Mass, cremation rites will be accorded. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Norm was born to Claude and Rose (Walsh) Holle on February 29, 1944. ( A Leap Year Baby). He married Margaret Rickerl on April 20, 1968. He attended St. Mary’s schools from first through twelfth grade, graduating in 1962. Norm excelled in many sports; track, baseball, and football. Later he became an accomplished bowler. His main love was golf. He could play all day in any weather. Valley Oaks was his club; even mowing tees for them later.
Norm had been employed at Chemplex for many years. Later he drove a semi with his brother Jerry every week from Davenport to California for Wenger Trucking. They drove over a million miles together. Norm retired from automotive finishing. Norm was a member of Prince of Peace, serving as a Eucharist Minister and former usher. He was a member of Valley Oaks, and former member of AA.
Norm is survived by his wife of 58 ½ years Margaret; two children, Nicole Holle of Clinton and James (Jenny) Holle of Camanche; five grandchildren, Zach Stauffer, Abby Stauffer, Larry Stauffer III, Grace Holle, and Matthew Mostek; three great grandchildren; and a very special little girl – Charmaine – who called him Papa! He was preceded in death by all 10 of his siblings. His family was his love and then golf.

I remember thinking as a young teen that Norm and Margaret were the coolest grown ups I had even known. Norm will be missed. RIP dear Norm.
