Wanda Schlotfeldt age 74 of Clinton, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026 at her home. According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 25th from 4-7 PM at Manny’s Pizza in Fulton. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Wanda Carol Schlotfeldt was born in Bluefield, WV on December 18, 1951, the daughter of Woodrow and June (Crigger) Newman. She attended Clinton Community Schools. Wanda married Nick Schlotfeldt on February 20, 1971 in Clinton. She worked for Clinton County for many years. Wanda enjoyed quilting, knitting, embroidering, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Nick; sons Jason (Christi) Schlotfeldt of Camanche, and Scott (Sherrie) Schlotfeldt of FL; five grandchildren, Donovan, Jacob, Madelynn, Maia, and Brody; four great grandchildren, Kira, Jasper, Jayna, and Jahkai; brother Ben (Paula) Newman of FL, and sister Deb Meurs of IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Opal and Sandra; and a brother.
