Kelly A. McClintock, 66, of Denver, Colorado, formerly of Clinton, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at HCA HealthONE Swedish Hospital in Denver.
In accordance with Kelly’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Pape Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery.
Kelly was born on March 6, 1960, in Clinton, Iowa, to Frank and Lois (Bassler) McClintock. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1978 and continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa and Mount St. Clare College.
Throughout her life, Kelly worked at several local businesses, including the Ramada Inn, Timber Motel, Manny’s Too in Fulton, and the Odeon. She also devoted many years to caring for her mother, Lois. Kelly enjoyed spending time outdoors, visiting with friends, and making meaningful connections with those around her. She will be remembered for her caring nature, her sense of humor, and the friendships she cherished.
Kelly is survived by her daughter, Katie Kaup of Clinton; her sisters, Michelle McClintock of Savanna and Tesha (Will) Fischer of DeWitt; her niece, Kylee Fischer; and her nephew, Dylan Fischer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lois McClintock; her brother, Nate McClintock; and her longtime friend and partner, Roger Cooper. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
