
Louis V. McWilliams age 71 of Coal Valley, IL passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. In following Louis’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 25th 2026 at Lusk Cemetery, Albany, IL. A luncheon will follow at the Albany American Legion. The Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, Iowa is assisting the family.
Louis was born in Rock Island, IL on July 25, 1954, the son of Joseph A. and Dorothy (Patton) McWilliams. He was employed as a carpenter with Local 166 Rock Island, IL. Louis enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, and watching movies. He liked to go Florida to visit his sisters and was known for being an avid jokester.
Louis is survived by a son, Bill (Michelle) McWilliams of Cordova, IL; a daughter, Jacque Jarrard of Orion; Il; 6 grandchildren, Danielle, Abbigail, Isabelle, Logan, Luke, and Lillian; 7 great grandchildren, Aubree, Carson, Garrett, Myah, Liam, Tessa, and Josie; 2 sisters, Judy Seals of Venice, FL and Mary Williams, of West Palm Beach, FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Landen; 4 brothers, Joe, Bill, Gene, and Pete, and a sister, June. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

I give my heart to you all. I enjoyed this man for many many years of my life. Given probably the most offensive nickname at the time. You just had to love him. So sorry for such a loss.
