Joyce M. Rickertsen age 73 of Clinton, IA passed away Friday May 15, 2026 at Wheatland Manor in Wheatland, IA. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday May 26th at Ascension Lutheran Church, Goose Lake, IA. Visitation will be held Tuesday 9:00 AM until service hour at the church. Joyce was born on May 21, 1952 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Ernest and Pearl (Roseland) Schroeder. She graduated from Northeast High School in 1970. She married Kenneth Rickertsen on June 5, 1971 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte, IA; he died in 2019. Joyce worked for Paul’s Discount, Clinton for over 30 years. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Joyce is survived by her two sons, Brian (Lisa) Rickertsen of Calamus, IA and Neal Rickertsen of Goose Lake, IA; three grandchildren, Aleisha (Matt) Haag, Austin (Lauren) and Alex Rickertsen; three great grandchildren, Trevor, Simon, and Hannah Haag; her brother, David (Jo) Schroeder of Goose Lake, IA; her sister-in-law, Sharon Rickertsen; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband – Kenneth, and sister – Gloria Schroeder.
