Jason was born on Feb. 26, 1975 in Clinton, IA the son of William and Ann (Stewart) Klahn Jr. He was a Clinton High School graduate in 1993. He married Ally Stonestreet on March 4, 2017 in Clinton, IA. Jason had a deep-seated passion for architectural design and drafting. Largely self-taught, he possessed a rare, intuitive talent for visualizing both homes and commercial structures. His professional thumbprint can be seen throughout the region; he was a key designer on the 2001 renovation of the Quad City International Airport and was instrumental in every phase of the construction of Eagle Heights Elementary School. Jason’s eye for detail extended to his personal life, whether he was golfing, bowling, or cross-country skiing. He took particular pride in his meticulously manicured lawn, a passion for perfection he inherited from his father. In the kitchen, he was just as deliberate, finding joy in the artful presentation of a meal along with the cooking itself. Jason was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs fan.

Jason is survived by his wife, Ally Klahn of Fulton, IL; his daughter, Samantha (Edward) Jelliff of Clinton, IA; two step children, Chase Stonestreet of Clinton, IA and Lindsey Stonestreet of Fulton, IL; three grandchildren, Kadin, Kenna, and Ella; his mother, Ann Klahn of Clinton, IA; and a sister, Jill (Greg) Klahn Smith of Troy, MO. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
