
Larry G. Raymond age 83 of Camanche, IA passed away Tuesday Nov. 11, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. Prior to cremation, Larry became an organ donor. Memorial Mass will be held 11 AM Saturday Nov. 22nd at Prince of Peace Parish, Clinton. Visitation will be held Saturday Nov. 22nd from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM. Following the Mass a funeral luncheon will be held at Prince of Peace. Family requests friends that come to wear their favorite sports attire. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Larry was born at the family home on July 22, 1942 in Sabula, IA the son Charles and Helen (Dennison) Raymond. He graduated from Sabula High School. Larry married Rosann Darby on April 20, 1963 in Sabula, IA. He worked at ALCOA for 30 years in the Foil Mill. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish. Larry enjoyed going to Mudbogging events, and watching his son Larry (Char) race, after Char’s death, he continued to be supportive of Mudbogging as the truck “Pitbull” was driven by Gary Jepsen. He enjoyed caring for his lawn, and was an avid Chicago White Sox, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Indianapolis Colts fan, and supporting Kevin and Char in sports.
Larry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosann Raymond of Camanche, IA; his son, Kevin (Terri) Raymond of Maquoketa, IA; three grandchildren, Katelyn (Joshua Andresen), Alyssa (Carter) Burks, and Mitchell (Sierra) Raymond; five great grandchildren, Braxton, Ronan, Presley, Parker, and Carver; his half-sister, Diana (Dennis) Stuhldryer of Boone, IA; several nieces & nephews; and his extended family, Ray and Wendy House and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Larry (Char), his in-laws, Bill and Evelyn Darby; a sister and brother-in-law Kay and Ron Schroeder; and 2 half-sisters.
