Allen L. “Al” Hudson age 87 of Camanche, formerly of Clinton, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Resthave in Morrison. In following Al’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2025at St. Mary’s Cemetery where Al will be laid to rest with his wife, Katherine who passed away on July 22, 2023. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Al was born in Clinton on September 12, 1938, the son of Orice and Marie (Cullen) Hudson. He graduated from Clinton High School. Al had served with the US Army. He married Katherine Kjergaard on September 5, 1964 in Clinton. Katherine passed away in 2023. Al was employed with Clinton Corn Processing Company, later ADM for 43 years. Al enjoyed going to and watching his kids and grandkids sporting and school events. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, scratch off tickets, and telling jokes. He was an avid sports fan, following the Cubs, Hawkeyes, and Caitlin Clark.
Al is survived by 5 children; Scott Hudson, Dave Hudson, and Randy Hudson all of Clinton, Terry Hudson (Stacy Wulf) of Camanche, and Dawn (Kevin) Murphy of Camanche; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter, and a sister, Joyce VonThun of Fulton. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Katherine, a son; Robert, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. Online condolences may be left atwww.papefh.com.
