Thelma J. Tatro age 90

Thelma J. Tatro age 90 of Clinton, IA passed away Friday June 13, 2025 at Thomas Grove Assisted Living and Memory Care in Marion, IA. Visitation will be held Saturday June 21st from 10:00 AM – Noon at the Pape Funeral Home. Cremation rites will follow and burial will be held at a later date. Thelma was born on Jan. 13, 1935 in Cedar Rapids, IA the daughter of Harlan and Emily (Rohnick) Butters. She married Sharon “Tate” Tatro on Aug. 23, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, IA; he died in 2020. Thelma was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Open Door, Clinton. She enjoyed playing the piano, music, and her animals.
Thelma is survived by her four children, Ceclia (Curt) McNabb of Cedar Rapids, IA, Denise Foley of Mankato, MN, Douglas (Mary) Tatro of Rock Island, IL, and Jay Tatro (Daniel Venker) of Des Moines, IA; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and five sisters.
