Robert H. “Bobby” Muskrat” Everson, age 74 of Clinton, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at Mercy One Hospital. In following Robert’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Robert was born in Clinton on June 15, 1950, the son of Clifford Ray and Alice Mae (Piper) Everson. He graduated from Clinton High School. Bobby married Peggy Huebner on August 4, 1978 in Clinton. He had been employed for over 20 years with Sivyer Steel in Bettendorf. Bobby enjoyed camping, walking up the tracks with his dog, puttering around the house, and lighting up every room with his one-of-a-kind laugh. He followed the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
Bobby is survived by his wife Peggy; 5 children, Tamara (Gabe) Riojas and Sondra (Brian) Dykstra both of Clinton; Jason Everson, Alicia Dierks of Clinton, and Tonya Balcom of Texas; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ron (Carey) Everson of Clinton and Richard (Tracy) Everson of Camanche; a sister, Patricia Downs of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.
