James A. “Jim” Lockhart age 40 of Clinton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Pape Funeral Home. A service will follow at 2:00 PM. Following the service a luncheon will take palace at 3:30 PM in the Community Room at the Ericksen Community Center.

Jim was born in Dubuque, Iowa on January 7, 1984, the son of Steven and Lorri (McNamara) Lockhart. He was a member of the Church of the Open Door. He was involved with New Choices. Jim was an avid bike rider. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Kordell and loved heavy metal music.

Jim is survived by his parents, Steve and Lorri Lockhart of Clinton; 2 sisters, Michelle Lockhart of Clinton and Cherryl Quick of Virginia; Momma June; his siblings, Nicole Hampton, Shante Hampton, and Michael Nelson, and 11 nieces and nephews.
