Douglas Mark Wayne Malone, 68, Clinton, IA passed away peacefully at his home on April 11, 2024. As per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services are being planned at this time. Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the family.

Douglas was born in Rock Island, IL on December 17, 1955, the son of Gene and Stella Malone. In 1983, he met the love of his life, Connie. They were married in Las Vegas, NV in 1992.In his early years, Douglas was a concrete finisher. At the age of 17, he went on to become a contractor. He loved his choice of work. Douglas was always thankful for growing up on the Rock River. He could fish in the summer and ice skate the water right from his front yard in the winter.

He was a very giving and loving man. He was always there to help anyone in any situation. Douglas will be greatly missed. As a grandpa, he loved being with his grandchildren. They were his life. His favorite thing to do was to create and build anything that they could have fun with. He was very proud of each, and every one of them.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Connie, his children, natural, step and surrogate: Gina Grchan, Mindy Medina, Tracy Paprocki, David Paprocki (Amy), Christine Attwood, Mike Goodwin (Hannah), his godson Shawn Findley (Liz), two brothers Dan Malone and Ally Malone (JoDee); several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his good friend (like a daughter) Raquel. Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Kelly, his step son Mike Attwood and his best friend and “puppy” Mansonboy.
