
Wesley L. “Wes” Dauen age 68 of Albany passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. In following Wes’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Life will take place at a later date. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Wes was born in Morrison on August 5, 1957, the son of Donald and Ida Mae (Eads) Dauen, Sr. He graduated from Fulton High School. Wes married Jodi Tomman on March 1, 1997 in Fulton. He was employed as a pipefitter welder at ADM 20 plus years until 2012, at that time he had to retire, due to health issues. He had also worked on the Roberts Farm. Wes enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, finding mushrooms and ginseng, and riding motorcycle.
Wes is survived by his wife, Jodi Dauen; 6 children, Shayne Dauen of Albany, Nathan (Amanda) Griffith of Fulton, Corey (Teri) Griffith of Morrison, Michael Dauen, Misty Dauen, and Timothy Dauen all of Clinton; 7 grandchildren : Nicole Griffith, Alyssa Griffith, and Easton Griffith ; Brycen Griffith ; Ethan Dauen, Jonathan Dauen, and Ashton Rathje, and 4 other grandchildren, 3 brothers, Donald “Don” (Deb) Dauen, Jr. of Clinton, Stan (Rhonda) Dauen of Albany, and Joseph “Joe” (Laura) Malley of Toscola, IL and several nieces and nephews.
