Vicki L. Vicks, 82, of Clinton, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, surrounded by love. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with visitation that morning from 10:00 A.M. until the service. Her grandchildren — her pride and joy — will serve as pallbearers, a fitting tribute to the deep bond they shared with their grandma. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Sabula. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Vicki was born on April 12th, 1943, in Clinton, the cherished daughter of Russell and Lillian (Zastrow) Luckritz. The eldest daughter of 4 siblings. From an early age, she was rooted in the Clinton community, attending local schools and making friends that would last a lifetime. On July 30th, 1960, she married the love of her life, Terry Vicks, in Sabula, beginning a 65-year partnership filled with a lot of talking, laughter, hard work, patience and devotion. Together, they raised two children- Tammy and Michael. She was a loving mother, sister, and daughter that gave endlessly to her family.
Throughout her life, Vicki poured her warmth and determination into every role she embraced — from working at the Sabula Speaker Factory, to Jim Walters Windows, and eventually to being self-employed. She found deep meaning in giving back, serving as a proud member of Prince of Peace Parish, where she volunteered on the funeral luncheon committee and helped keep the church a welcoming place for all.
But Vicki’s happiest moments were spent with her “AMAZING” grandchildren and great grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was known for hosting magical Christmases with her Santa Village, making delicious breakfasts after sleepovers and cheering at Irish events.
She enjoyed playing cards, bowling with her Texas friends, and catching her favorite game shows. Vicki had a rare gift—she truly never met a stranger. Her kindness, easy smile and sweet outlook made everyone feel like an old friend. She always, always walked on the sunny side of the street and never let her loved ones leave without a hug and kiss
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Terry; her daughter, Tammy (Andrew) Isenhour of Clinton; her daughter-in- law, Dawn (Michael) Vicks, her seven grandchildren — Erik (Taylor) Isenhour, Victoria Isenhour (Dusty Miller), Katherine Isenhour, Julia Isenhour (Matthew Green), Lillian Isenhour, Megan (Jesse) Jones, and Halee Vicks; her seven great-grandchildren — Hannah, Andrew, Wyatt, Zoey, Conrad, Lucy, Hazel — with two more on the way; her sister, Linda (Doug) Wherry of Erie, IL; her brother, Keith (Bonnie) Luckritz of Camanche; and her sister-in-law, Joan Luckritz of Coralville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Michael, in 2018; her sister, Barb Bromley; and her brother, Russell Luckritz, Jr. Memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Schools.
