Shirley P. Anderson Baasch – 85

Shirley P. Anderson Baasch, age 85 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Shirley was born in Atkins, Iowa on October 2, 1936, the daughter of Eldred and Lula M. (Schueler) Anderson. She married Edward H. Baasch on August 1, 1953 in Chadwick, IL. Edward passed away on August 28, 2018. Shirley was a homemaker. She farmed with her husband near Hauntown and was a waitress at Lou’s Café in Savanna for a short time. She was a member of Community of Christ Church. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and canning. Her grandchildren were her life. She was a good hearted person who thought of everybody before herself. Shirley had a good sense of humor and loved making people laugh.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Susan (James) Coon of Clinton; 6 grandchildren, Julia, Sarah, Lynda, Patty, Russell, and Daniel; 10 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Rena Anderson (Michael Spears) of Savanna; special friends and care givers, Jim Wurster and Wanda Robinson both of Savanna, and 3 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Debra; and infant son, Steven; a granddaughter, Sheila, and a sister, Donna Wiebenga.
