Shelley J. Clark, age 63 of Clinton, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Shelley was born in Clinton on February 24, 1960, the daughter of William and Jean (Holton) Herrmann. She was married to Kenny Clark from 1983 until 2012. A graduate of Clinton High School, she participated in multiple sports, lettering in softball for 5 years after being selected to play varsity out of 8th grade; and also received an AA Degree from Clinton Community College. Shelley worked as a Medical Receptionist at Medical Associates and with the Clinton Public School system at Clinton High. She enjoyed spending quality time with her daughters and granddaughters, bowled for many years as a member of the Clinton Bowling Association and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Shelley is survived by a daughter, Hilary (Jason) Jesudoss of Chicago and 2 granddaughters, Chasity Clark of Iowa City and Marleigh Jesudoss of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Margot Clark, and a brother, David Herrmann. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

I am so sad, I was not able to see Shelley in these last years as she lived in Iowa and I live in Michigan. But so happy we could connect vis Email nad Messenger. Being my sister’s daughter, we did see each other as she was growing up. I know she loved her “Cubbies” and was in the bowling league. I will miss her. Prayers for the family. Aunt gayleen

I am truly heartbroken on the loss of Shelley. We were in and out of each others lives since high school. I always loved her smile and laugh and deep love – whether for family or the Cubbies! I treasure her beautiful spirit and soul, for and eternity. Much love and faith to Shelley’s family.

I worked with Shelly at the schools where we kept each other sane and enjoyed her company at Howards a lot! A truly sweet person with a sassy sense of humor.
