Shawn Kuhse, 50 of Clinton, passed away November 14th, 2025 at Bettendorf Health Care Center. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, November 20th at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton. Gathering of family and friends will be from 10 AM until the service hour. Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Shawn and I got to know each other when he was my manager with football at Clinton High a long time ago. Then to have in my church family later on was great! He always wanted to help with Easter Breakfast set up and ushering at church. He was a great guy.
The Lord be with you and give you peace. Remember the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting in Christ. Shawn rests from His labors and will one day rise in the resurrection of us all. By faith, he was redeemed in the blood of the Lamb. let not your hearts be troubled, for even though Shawn is dead, he will live by grace, thru faith in the life eternal. Lift high the cross and know Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Kristy, Wyatt and Kathy, Shawn’s huge heart is what we will remember most. With Christ-mas approaching it’s fitting knowing that he will be ringing the bell (something he loved to do) as other angels get their wings.
