Sharon Hoenicke
March 11, 1942 – May 30, 2025
Sharon Hoenicke, a radiant soul and beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 11, 1942, in Tuscola, Illinois, she was the daughter of Dorothae Linn and Tom Williams. Sharon was lovingly raised in Boone, Iowa, by her grandmother and aunt, whose care and guidance helped shape the vibrant woman she became.
On October 9, 1960, Sharon married Carrol Lind, with whom she began her journey into motherhood. Later in life, she found her true partner and soulmate in Terry Hoenicke. They were married on August 23, 1975, and together they built a joyful life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Sharon was the proud and devoted mother of Jason (Jen) Lind, Jerry (Jill) Lind, Lori (Loras) Peterson, Todd (Lauren) Hoenicke, Stacey (Collen) Hoenicke, and Ryan (Kim Hunter) Hoenicke. Her children were her greatest joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
She was a beloved grandmother to a large family, including Zachary, Andrew, Reuben, Ella, Christina, Kyle, Tiara, Stacie, Jacob, Rachel, Jordan, Holly, Anastacia, Eric, Blake, Hannah, Elissa, Skyler, Arron, Neil, Nolan, and many great and great-great grandchildren. Each one brought her immense pride and happiness.
A free spirit with a zest for life, Sharon was known for her infectious energy and love of adventure. Whether she was cruising the countryside in her convertible, painting vivid and expressive works of art, or dancing with uncontainable joy, Sharon brought light and laughter wherever she went. She was truly the life of the party and a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Sharon’s warmth, creativity, and boundless enthusiasm left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the countless memories she created with those she loved.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
