Scott L. Bratthauer age 65 of Bryant, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Pape Funeral Home. A private graveside service will take place in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nolan Bratthauer, Will Wiesner, Adam Volker, Ryan Cleary, Roger Petersen, and Jim Peterson.
Scott was born in Clinton on September 22, 1959, the son of Harris K. and Phyllis (Dierks) Bratthauer. He graduated from Northeast High School. Early in life Scott had 2 children. He later married Kim Rixen on December 19, 2015 at his home in Bryant. Kim passed away on November 25, 2018. Scott farmed his entire life near Bryant. He was a member of the Northeast FFA Alumni. He was always there for his family, spending time and bringing packs of Oreo cookies to his grandkids. Scott was always the first one to help others but never expected anything in return. He loved farming, working on his Oliver tractors, and solving the world’s problems while sitting with his friend Roger in his shop.
Scott is survived by 2 children; Corissa (Adam) Volker of Hudson, Iowa and Nolan Bratthauer of Bryant; a step-son Will Wiesner of Clinton; 3 grandchildren, Ryne and Arianna Volker and Piper Wiesner; his brother, Steve (Janice) Bratthauer of Bryant and his sister, Sherilynn Werner of Clinton.
