
Scott H. Cassady age 64 of Clinton passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his home. In following Scott’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday. February 21st starting at 3:00 PM at Hells Our Home on Main Ave. in Clinton.
Scott was born in Sterling, Illinois on January 20, 1962, the son of Simon and Batty Webber Cassady. He graduated from Military School and later joined the U.S. Army. Scott married Mary Hanley on July 4, 1994 at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover. He had been a mechanic and an over the road trucker. Scott was a member at Hells Our Home. He drove stock cars at the Jackson County Fair Grounds and also enjoyed mud bogging. He was a fan of NASCAR, had a wicked sense of humor and enjoyed tormenting his wife.
Scott is survived by his wife Mary; 2 daughters, Wendy (John) Karhoff of Milton, IA and Andres (Chad) Piper of Fort Madison; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren with 3 on the way; 3 brothers, Gary (Gail) Cassady of Clinton, Dale (Julie) Cassady of Miles, and Phil (Shelly) Cassady of Clinton; a sister-in-law, Becky Cassady of Camanche, and several nieces and nephews.
