Ruby Ann Matthew age 90

Ruby Ann Matthew age 90 of Clinton, Iowa passed away Wednesday July 10, 2024 at Genesis East, Davenport. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday July 15th at Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday 9:30 am until the service hour at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Luncheon following at Zion Lutheran Church. Casket bearers will be Matthew Munson (grandson), Dustin Collins (grandson-in-law), Chad Surom (godson), and Jason Manderscheid (nephew). Ruby was born on March 29, 1934 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Christopher and Mary (Dege) Suehl. She graduated from Lyons High School in 1953. Ruby married William Matthew on Oct. 14th, 1961; he died in 1992. She worked at Clinton Wholesale Foods as a bookkeeper for many years. Ruby enjoyed baking, painting and playing golf at Fulton Country Club where she got a hole-in-one. She was active in Trees Forever, the Historical Society and the American Cancer Society.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Danielle Munson of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Mackenna (Dustin) Collins of Fulton, IL and Matthew Munson of Clinton, IA; a great granddaughter, Brinley Collins; a brother Wayne (Joyce) Suehl of Clinton, IA; two sisters, Lynn Rosenberger and June Manderscheid both of Clinton, IA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and three sisters.
