Roberta J. Schwartz age 85 passed away Thursday May 2, 2024 at MercyOne, Clinton. Visitation will be held Wednesday May8th from 11 AM-1 PM at the Pape Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday 1:00 PM at Elvira Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.

Roberta was born on Aug. 19, 1938 in Clinton, IA the daughter of Marvin and Hilda (Boothby) Petersen. She married Donald Schwartz on Jan. 27, 1957 in Elvira, IA. She was a homemaker and she and her husband farmed, operated Shangri-La Resort in Cass Lake, MN, and owned the Northend Dairy Treats, Clinton. Roberta enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Donald Schwartz of Clinton, IA; three children, Donald (Sherri) Schwartz Jr. of Clinton, IA, Cindy Carlsen of Rock Falls, IL, and Tracy (Eric) Neas of Morrison, IL; 7 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; her sister, Loretta Shelly and two brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Petersen and Ted (Elsa) Petersen. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters, and son-in-law, Gary.
