To Bob’s family. We have great memories of Bob as a neighbor and friend. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God bring you comfort and peace.
I’m so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. we are vacationing in Arizona and unfortunately will not be able to make his services. Praying for Aunt Betty and the family. I know he helped Aunt Betty out alot!
I met Bob in 1987 at the recruiting station in Waterloo. He asked me what my rate was and i said CTO. (cryptologic Tech) Secret stuff and i can’t tell you more. I asked him, and he said Seabee. Plumbing, water, building..I’m a Turd Chaser. That was our first interaction. He was fun to be around and a top notch recruiter..We had super long days, weekends, nights to make our goal of 20 sailors each month, he was one of the best. He was our best driver to get an applicant to the test site in des-moines. He made that trip in sub 90 minutes and had the speeding tickets to prove it. Bob stayed in touch over the years and always asked about the family and how Carol’s MS was doing….He would go out of his way to see us when taking Ryan to Scout Camps. Bob never complained about his own health issues, just another hurdle to get over. I recently talked with him and he said he was going home soon from his hospital stay, I didn’t realize he was almost to his Heavenly Home, Carol and I take great comfort knowing you are with JESUS and the glory of eternal life. Bless Stacy, Ryan and Lisa and all of his family. We will meet again Bob! John & Carol Parkersburg iowa

I enjoyed many years of playing softball with Bob as the coach. He was a good guy and friend. Always had fun at his Supper Bowl parties too. He will be missed. My condolences to his family on his passing.
