Robert A. Judd – 76

Robert A. Judd, age 76, of Coralville, Iowa, formerly of Clinton, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024. Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 15th, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Memorial services will be from 5″00 to 6:00 PM. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 16th, at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
Robert was born in Savanna, IL, on July 17, 1948, the son of Woodworth and Bernetta (Andresen) Judd. He graduated from Clinton High School. Robert served with the U.S. Navy as a Corpsman attached to the U.S. Marines, receiving two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star, and was honored by the Order of the Silver Rose. He married Mari-jo Hart on May 26, 1976, in Rock Island. He worked as an auto salesman and EMT.
Robert was a member of the VVA, Vietnow, and Amvets. He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, watching TV, going to the shooting range with his best friend, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mari-jo; a son, Tim Judd of Berwyn, IL; a daughter, Alys Thoensen of North Liberty, IA; two grandchildren, Klein and Lauren Thoensen; a brother, Thomas Judd of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry and William; and two sisters, Kay and Leota. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
