Rita Jean Morgan, age 62 of Monticello, Iowa passed away Monday December 6, 2021 at her home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. A Memorial service will begin at 3:00 PM. Burial will take place in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Rita was born in Clinton on November 30, 1959, the daughter of Charley Wayne and Mary Jane (Cavanaugh) Morgan. She attended Clinton Schools and Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. Rita grew up in Clinton, later moving to California where her son Justin was born, whom she loved with all her heart. She moved to Monticello then to Colorado for a period of time before returning to Monticello where she had many friends. Rita enjoyed fixing computers and helping people in need.
Those left to remember Rita are her son Justin Riddle, her siblings, Pam Prunty, Mark Morgan, Claudia (Jeff) Else, Steve (Andriana) Morgan, Joan (Jay) Lauritzen, Diana Morgan, her Aunt Dorothy Koepp, and many nieces, nephews, and her cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a sister, Linda.
