Dick was one of the nicest men that I have ever met in my life, and he will be dearly missed.
Rest in peace, Dick. ????
I put a pray symbol and it put question marks instead
I remember when Dick would drink beer together, he told me some a friend had told him when they drank beer together. We made it our saying every time
we drank. He would say as he was holding his glass of beer. “I don’t know how they can make taste so good” and I would follow up with “and sell it so cheap”.
Our brother was a top notch big brother. I remember he was helping our Mom go to the Dr. and back. While driving her up to the house he ran into a bird feeder, broke it, Mom did not notice. A couple of days later she noticed it and questioned Richard about it, he in turn claimed innocence and blamed me, when I got there she immediately asked me about it.
Richard was in the background laughing! So I did the only sensible thing I could think of…..I blamed our brother Rod who was not there yet. When he did get there, M0m was not happy with him. Never has three grown men had so much fun with a cheap little $2.99 bird feeder.
This was only one of the millions of fun times. Not to mention the times spent on the porch having a beer with MOM!!!! Richard was the Backbone of our family, Checking on us , helping wherever he could and keeping us a close family. He will be missed beyond words , we Love him dearly.
Dick was THE nicest man I have ever known! Our golf adventures with my father in law BJ were some of the best memories. I remember Dick telling me when I would miss a putt”””don’t you want to win “! God speed and keep the clubs warm for when I arrive my friend.
Trish, your brother and my step-dad. BJ, are probably having a beer in heaven and talking some BS.
I know they are!! I can almost hear their laughter, they were hysterical, together!♥️
Us 3 brothers enjoyed harassing each other on the golf course. We could always depend on Richard hitting the golf ball into the fairway. Maybe not 200 yards but always into the fairway. We started calling him “Mr. Fairway”. When he bought the beer, somehow, it always just tasted better. His friend BJ -who passed away prior to Richard- got Richard started at golfing and would always tell Richard “Keep your head down dummy” when Richard would miss hit the ball. Thats why it’s on one of the golf balls. Richard is probably golfing already with BJ and another friend Fred, who passed prior to Richard. He will be truly missed.
