Phyllis A Krogman age 81 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, March 16 in a car accident. A Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 PM Tuesday, March 22nd at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Monday, March 21st also at Prince of Peace Parish. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Casket bearers will be Alan Krogman, her godsons; Tom Krogman, Jason Kaczinski, Dan Wagemester, Patrick Clemence, grandsons; Ryan Dierickx, Jack Krogman, Mathias, Conrad and Otto Kroymann. Phyllis was born on August 4, 1940 in Clinton, the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Schroeder) Kaczinski. She graduated from Miles High School in 1958. She attended Mount St. Claire College, receiving her AA in 1960. She married Orville Krogman on Sept. 9, 1961 in Bryant, Iowa. Phyllis and Orville lived and farmed his family farm, she was a homemaker and seamstress. She was an active member of Prince of Peace Parish. Phyllis enjoyed sewing, crafting, reading, playing cards and Scrabble with her sisters and niece. Above all she loved being with her family. She adored her grandkids and supported them in everything they did.
Phyllis is survived by her six children; Sheryl (Jerry) Dierickx of Marysville, WA, Paul (Robin) Krogman of Clinton, Brent Krogman of Dallas, TX, Scott (Jennifer) Krogman of Ellington, CT, Beth (Michael) Kroymann of Clinton, Andrea (Blake) Thompson of Clinton; 13 grandchildren, Ryan (Erin), Erin, Montanna, Ciera, Emma, Jack, Abigail, Mathias, Conrad, Otto, Evelyn, Charlotte, and Madeline; two sisters Gladys Wagemester and Gloria (Mike) Clemence of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Eugene.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. What a tragic accident. Phyllis was at Sarah Gossard’s beauty shop many times when I was there and she was always so fun to be around. Keep pleasant memories in your heart.
