Patricia Ann Steines age 82 of Clinton, IA, passed away Saturday March 12, 2022 at The Alverno Health Care Facility. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held Monday March 21st at the Pape Funeral Home. A public visitation will be held Monday 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Pape Funeral Home. Patricia was born on March 1, 1940 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Raymond and Muriel (Swanson) Tobin. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1958. She married Arlen Steines on June 28, 1958 in Clinton; he died in 1989. Patricia was a homemaker and she and her husband fostered over 54 foster children. She enjoyed playing bingo, gambling, and sitting in the outdoors. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her three children, Lisa (Roger) Hoerschelmann and A.J. (Lacey) Steines both of Clinton, IA. Henry (Jennifer) Cooper of Virginia; seven grandchildren, Joe, Eric, Michael, Nicole, Dylan, Brett, and Laynie; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Ray (Diane) Tobin of Clinton, IA and Joe (Barb) Tobin of Iowa City, IA; and her sister, Carol Zimmer of New Brighton, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arlen, and a brother, John.
