Patricia A. Cartee age 86 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. In following Patricia’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will take place from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Clinton Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Springfield National Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Patricia was born in Iowa City on July 12, 1938, the daughter of Joseph and Ruth (Stanley) Miller. She married Jerald “Jerry” R. Cartee on September 29, 1956 at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton. Jerry passed away on September 23, 1995. Patricia had worked as a Nurses Aid and waitress. She had been employed at GE in Morrison, International Paper in Clinton, and as the head cook at the Polynesian Princess in Branson, MO. She was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ. She loved horses and taught English riding lessons. Patricia lived a happy life as a wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, camping, fishing, rock hounding and trial riding.

Patricia is survived by 4 children; Jeraldine Yates of Phoenix, AZ, Janise “Kay” Wood of Clinton; Randy Cartee (Barbara Jewell) of Clinton and Phillip “Paul Cartee (Denise Tipton) of Clinton; 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Michelle, Ian, and Jerald Cartee, and LeAnn Wood; 7 great grandchildren, Nathaniel Barrio of AZ, Jaxton and Jayden Patton of AZ; and Ethan, Vander, Xzyden, and Ryland Cartee of TX and 2 brothers, Robert Miller and Mike (Karen) Miller both of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jerry; a grandson, Tom Patton on December 23, 2011 and 3 brothers, Bruce, David and Richard. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
