Nancy A. Nieland, age 73 of LeClaire, formerly of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Genesis East in Davenport. According to her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 – 11 AM on Tuesday, July 11th at the Christ Episcopal Church in Clinton. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held at the church. Inurnment will take place at Springdale Cemetery following the luncheon. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
Nancy Alma Nieland was born in Clinton, Iowa on July 25, 1949, the daughter of Wilmer and Wilma (Harder) Mann. She married Wayne Nieland on July 1st, 1972 at Grace Episcopal Church (now Christ Episcopal) in Clinton. Nancy spent many years as the church vestry, and was a proud member of the Scott County Democrats. She enjoyed reading horror and mystery novels and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
Nancy is survived by her husband Wayne of LeClaire; daughter Amanda (Robert) Litwiller of Council Bluffs, IA; grandchildren Alyssa Bignall and Brielle and Connor Litwiller; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Paul Taylor; and siblings Lila Masse and James Mann.
