Mark A. “Howie” Howard age 60 of Clinton, IA passed away Monday Feb. 24, 20225 at Clarissa Cook Hospice in Bettendorf, IA. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday March 15th starting at 2:00 PM at Imperial Lanes in Camanche, IA. Family ask you wear your favorite team apparel. Mark was born on May 11, 1964 in Clinton, IA the son of Robert and Phyllis (Schaley) Howard. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1982. He worked as a knifeman at Blue Ridge Packaging/ Dairy Pak, Clinton for many years which he served two years on the board of directors plus was union vice president. He was a school bus driver for the Camanche School System, which he enjoyed the students on his bus. He married Cindy Harbron on July 21, 2014 in Clinton. He enjoyed bowling where he was semi-pro and scored multiple 300 games, golfing, and playing softball. He played Santa many years following in his grandfather’s shoes. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Cubs, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He lived his life to the fullest.
Mark is survived by his wife, Cindy Howard of Clinton, IA; his daughter, Amanda (James) Peltier-Smith of Jefferson, WI; his brother, Kevin Berry of Clinton, IA; two sisters, Vickie (Bill) Wright of Dixon, IL and Gail (Dan) Jansma of Low Moor, IA; his two girls (dogs) Marley and Ana; four aunts & uncles; and several nieces & nephews, who dearly loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one niece and his 3 dogs, Babe, Milo, and Big Boy Bubba.
Mark always brought a smile to your face from his cheerful ways.

Mark and I were neighbors and around the same age growing up . We played in the woods every chance we got that was behind our houses. We were always riding our bikes down the big hill on N. 7th Street. I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Sending my prayers for all the families involved in this terrible loss. ????????

Mark and I were best friends throughout our Lyons jr. high school years. So many great memories of those years such as going to Fox roller rink every Friday night. RIP my friend, we’ll see you on the other side.

Howie was a great person and friend. I bowled with him the Quad City All Star Travel League back in the mid 1980’s, and he was a very, very gifted bowler. I was out of town when I heard the news of his passing. My condolences to his family and many friends in the bowling community.
