Lauren Marie Rosales, age 34, passed away late Easter Sunday night, April 20, 2025. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Parish in Clinton, Iowa. Burial will take place afterward at St. Irenaeus Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Lauren was born in Landstuhl, Germany on October 3rd, 1990, the firstborn child of David and Terese (Dixon) Larres. Her beloved son, Jude Timothy, was born on January 22, 2011. Lauren graduated from Oklahoma State University summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in 2013 and achieved her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2015. She worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Legacy Healthcare Services in Hillsboro TX, where she met the love of her life, Jordan Rosales. Lauren and Jordan were married on April 4, 2020 in College Station, TX. In 2021 they moved to Midlothian, VA, where they purchased their first home. Once in Virginia, Lauren served as a SLP for Dysphagia Management Systems. However, her enduring passion for animals could not be denied and Lauren later found her calling at Bon Air Animal Hospital.
Lauren was a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend, who lived passionately and was remarkably resilient. Jude recalls her as a mom who dedicated herself to giving him the best childhood possible, even when he was too young to remember. Her husband Jordan’s most precious moment of his life was their wedding. Lauren and Jordan met a few years before their marriage, and Jordan defines the overall time together as the happiest he has been and will ever be.
Lauren was incredibly self-sacrificing, always striving to make others feel comfortable and accepted just as they are. She readily shared her most embarrassing personal stories to earn a laugh, always with her uniquely ‘Lauren’ flair. She delighted in planning the perfect gifts and surprises–though she was rarely patient enough to keep them surprises for long. Lauren staunchly defended her beliefs, her family, and her friends, and she pursued joy fiercely. She adored animals and gave her free time to taming wild kittens, training dogs and horses, and fostering homeless pets. She was especially fond of her ‘heart dog,’ Bruno, who would complain, loudly and often, if anyone else were to take ‘his’ place on the couch next to her. She was passionate about music, blasting Marianas Trench in her car and attending every concert and musical possible. Lauren loved coffee, wine, laughter, traveling, being outdoors, nail polish, renaissance festivals and theme parks, and new experiences.
Those left to remember Lauren are her husband, Jordan Rosales and son, Jude Denton, both of Midlothian, VA; her parents, David and Terese (Dixon) Larres of Garner, NC; her siblings, Justin (Emily) Larres of Bunnlevel, NC, Elise Larres of Wake Forest, NC, and Joseph Larres of Garner, NC; her nephews, Landon, Elijah, and Dominic Derfelt-Larres of Bunnlevel, NC; mothers-in-law Lorraine Rosales and Ana Deter of Bryan, TX; father-in law James Rosales of Bryan, TX; brother-in-law James (Jenilee) Rosales of Bryan, TX; her nephews Jameson, Jai, Jasper, and her niece Juliana of Bryan, TX; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
