Kimberly M. “Kim” Hansen age 56 of Clinton passed away December 25, 2024 at her home. Please join her family and friends for a celebration of her life on April 26, 2025, at the Clinton Amvets, 1317 S. 17th St, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
In Kim’s words: Hi to all my friends, family, and acquaintances!
Sorry to have left you in such a hurry, but my Father has called me home and I told him I would rather wait, but He insisted! The Lord sent me to my earthly home on November 1, 1968, at the old Jane Lamb Hospital, where I got to meet my new family. Mother LaVerne (Lord) and father, Donald Hansen, were happy to see me, as well as my guiding light, Cheryl. I spent my younger years on Dunham Street, my early school years at Saint Mary’s and Mater Dei, and later at Clinton Community College and Iowa State University.
Employment was a challenge, but I finally found the legal system truly enjoyable. After many years of work, having met many wonderful people, and having matured (???), I found my dream job working at the Clinton District Court offices.
During my time with all of you, I enjoyed many DIY projects, flower gardens, scrapbooking, watching sports, and playing with my longtime feline companions Haleigh & Lucky. When my adventurous spirit hit me, I traveled to Alaska, England, and France. But most of all I loved spending time with my niece Sheena, great nephew Elliott, and great niece Elsie.
After years of waging my final battle with that insidious liver cancer, ending Christmas day 2024, I thought of close family that had gone before and those that remained. I am hoping to see my parents again and am going to miss my sister Cheryl (Jim) Nichols, niece Sheena (Adam) Brewer, great nephew Elliott, and great niece Elsie. Not to dismiss the value of the many friends, cousins, aunts, and uncles that have filled my life with joy and laughter.
Love, Kim (aka Aunt KimmyKat/Kimbo) Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
