Kenneth R. “Rudy” Baker age 85 of Davenport, formerly of Clinton, passed away Thursday April 21, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday April 29, 2022 at the Pape Funeral Home. A gathering of friends and family will be held Friday Noon until the service hour at the funeral home. Rudy was born on May 18, 1936 in Caraway, AR, the son of Charles and Ozella (Easley) Baker. He married Mildred Russell on Nov. 22, 1955 in Arkansas, she died Jan. 6, 2022. Rudy was a steel worker on core motors for Local Union in Bettendorf. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and camping.
Rudy is survived by his two children, Esther Hansen of Davenport, IA and Kenneth D. (Cynthia) Baker of Rosemont, MN; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 8 brothers and sisters, a grandson, Kenneth, and two nephews, Mike and Gary.
