Kathleen M. “Kate” Foster age 76 of Clinton, passed away Monday April 28, 2025 at her home. Kate has donated her body to the University of Iowa Anatomy Department and a Memorial Luncheon will take place at the Eagle Point Lodge on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 11am – 2pm. At noon, Pastor Michael from Journey Church will begin a service of sharing and remembrance, followed by the opportunity for loved ones to share memories and stories of Kate. Kate was born on August 30, 1948 to David and Mary (Zastrow) Williams in Clinton. Kate married John Foster on October 11, 1980 in Sabula, IA. Kate was a woman of deep faith and a joyful spirit. She loved her church family and spent many fulfilling hours in bible study, finding comfort and strength in her faith and those around her. She had a passion for thrift shopping and got joy from the discoveries she made and finding a place for them in her home. Kate had a special gift for making every holiday feel magical with her flair for decorating and she delighted in sitting quietly among her flowers, enjoying the beauty and serenity of nature. Above all, Kate was kind, compassionate and generous. She loved spending time with her friends and family and doting on her grandchildren. She had a warm spirit and her gentle presence and caring heart will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have been a part of her life.

Kate is survived by a daughter, Sarah (Jacob) Eades of Marion and a son Matthew Bach; 4 grandchildren, Kane, Rucker, Riley & Breanna; 2 sisters, Carol Still of Clinton and Mary Williams of Tennessee and a brother, Bill (Anja) Williams of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, 2 brothers Tom and Dave and a sister, Caren.
