Karen A. Reed age 74 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday May 8, 2019 at Manor Care-Utica Ridge in Davenport. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday May15th at St. John Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4-7 PM at the Pape Funeral Home and Wednesday 10 AM until the service hour at the church. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Karen was born on Sept. 18, 1944 in Clinton, the daughter of Harry and Malinda (Grill) Meyer. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1963. She worked as a bookkeeper for Clinton National Bank for 30 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Karen enjoyed bowling, going to the Showboat Theatre, attending her grandchildren school events, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. She worked hard to organize many of the gatherings and reunions for the Class of 1963.

Karen is survived by her son, Scott (Lavina Engle) Reed of Clinton; three grandchildren, Chas (Dakota) Miller of Clinton, Riley (Kassidy) Reed of Charlotte, and Susan Reed of Clinton; her great grandson, Charlie Miller; her sister, Gloria Bender of Davenport; her brother, Don Meyer of River Forest, IL and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, three brothers, her nephew, Dennis, and her great nephew, Kaylen.
