Jeanne was born in Clinton on September 26, 1946, the daughter of Vernon and Lucille (Heinrichsen) Smith. She graduated from Clinton High School class of 1965. Jeanne married Timothy J. Judge on February 3, 1967 at Sacred Heart Church in Clinton. Tim passed away on June 2, 2018. Jeanne had been employed at Muffy’s Men Shop, the Color Wheel, and the Clinton School District. She also owned and operated The Front Porch flower shop. As a dedicated member of Prince of peace Catholic, she coordinated the funeral lunches for years. She was a member of the Lyons Business and Professional Association, and on the Board of Directors at the Discovery Center. For many years she also decorated a Christmas tree for the festival of trees both in Clinton and in the Quad cities. She was a very active, some would even say, professional volunteer, and more times than not her family got volunteered by her whether they liked it or not. She had a special place in her heart for her class of 1965, and over the years they all kept in touch and got together for a meal at Rastrelli’s‘s as often as possible.

Once the grand children were born, they became the center of her world. If they wanted to make Christmas cookies in the middle of July she made sure they did, if they wanted a certain kind of chips that were only carried at one store an hour away, she drove there to get them. If it was 20 below and they wanted to go out and make a snowman she bundled them up as well as herself and out they went. There wasn’t anything that she said no to for those three grandsons. Her newest pride and joy was her first great grand-child, finally a girl!
Jeanne is survived by 2 sons, Paul (Denise) Judge of Clinton and Greg Judge of Davenport; 3 grandchildren, Tyler (Darian) Judge, Brady Judge, and Treyger Judge; a great granddaughter, Brynlee Kay; 2 sisters, Sally Leon of Washington, IL and Kathy (Steven) Zabortsky of Troy Mills, IA sisters-in-law Mary Judge, Therese (Adda Sayers) and a brother in law Mark Judge, all from the Des Moines IA area, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 2 brothers-in-law. Memorials may be made to the children’s Discovery center in Clinton or to the family.
