Jason A. Rowson, age 38 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, August 27th, 2022 at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon, IL. A funeral service will be held at 6 PM on Friday, September 2nd at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00 until the service hour on Friday. Family encourages those attending to wear their favorite sports attire. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Jason Allen Rowson was born in Davenport, Iowa on October 1, 1983, the son of Michael and Teresa (Nielsen) Rowson. He graduated from Clinton High. Jason worked in food service at Hall of Fame Pizza and Wings in Dewitt and Copper Cardinal in Maquoketa. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Jason loved grilling and hanging out with family and friends, especially his pride and joy Madison. He was a very loving son and proud to be a part of 5 generations.

Jason is survived by his daughter Madison of Clinton; parents Teresa Nielsen and Mike Rowson both of Clinton; brothers Jeff (Hannah) Rowson of Clinton and Matthew Libberton of Florida; sisters Morgan (Braizee) Tiesman of Clinton, Deanna Rowson of Clinton, Autumn Guilliams and Pypher Rowson both of Teeds Grove; grandmothers Verna Rowson and Jeanne Rowson both of Clinton; nephews Kolton, Keenan, and Kyrie Rowson of Clinton; fur babies Loki, Benji, and Charlie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Paul “Bing” Nielsen and William “Bill” Rowson; and Grandmother Bernice Latimer Nielsen. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his baby girl, Madison.
