Janice K. Sievers age 71

Janice (Jan) Sievers, of Camanche, IA, passed away on June 20, 2025 in Iowa City, IA. Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held Friday 1 – 4 PM at Loyal Order of Moose (Moose Lodge) 1936 Lincoln Way, Clinton, IA 52732. Janice (Jan) was born in Clinton, IA to Beverly Krogmann on March 25, 1954. She attended local schools in Low Moor, IA and Dewitt, IA. She worked at International Paper, ADM, Hy-Vee, and many other side jobs. She thoroughly enjoyed riding her Harley in the early days, her four-legged children, gardening, watching her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities, enjoying a diet Mt. Dew and Mexican cuisine, spending quality time with family, and always offering help to people.
Janice (Jan) is survived by her partner Jim Capion (Bear and Brooke). Children; Annette (Derek) McClimon, Kristie (James) Schomer, Thomas (Anji) Ruchotzke, Tina Ruchotzke (Shane Houzenga). Siblings; Linda (Steve) Coppess, Laurie Jacobs, Gary (Carol) Krogmann, Luann Cady, Leonard Krogmann, Melissa (Fred) Ryan. Mother (step); Betty Boehmer. Grandchildren; Jeffrey Creed, Catelyn Creed (Mitchell Flynn), Andee McClimon (Ryan Scheckel), Austin (Hannah) Schomer, Nevaeh Schomer, Alysia Schomer, Lea Purcell, Marlee Purcell, Dane Rudge, and Trenton Rudge. Great-grandchildren; Alyson Pulido, Ryker Wiersema, Baylynn and Beckham Schomer, and several nieces and nephews.
Janice (Jan) was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Beverly Krogmann; father of her children, Thomas Ruchotzke; mother (in-law), Marge Capion; sister, Vicki Hudson (Holt); brother-in-law’s, Mark Cady and Dave (Jake) Jacobs; nieces; and four-legged children Snickers and Beanie.
