Janet Marie Andrews passed away on March 1st, 2024, after battling an illness. She was born on July 28th, 1948, in Clinton, Iowa. Janet graduated from Mt. St. Clare Academy in 1966 and continued her education at Clinton Community College, where she earned her LPN degree. Later, she attended Hamilton Technical College and pursued a career as an electrical technician. Janet dedicated herself to caring for others, working in the Clinton, Davenport, and Bettendorf areas.
Janet’s love for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings was matched only by her fondness for Diet Coke. She always greeted everyone with a smile. Jan will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Heather Conlon of Van Nuys, California, and Dawn (Dan) Blazier of Park View, Iowa, along with her granddaughters, Britt Conlon, Haley Blazier, Sarah Blazier, and Catrina Blazier. Survived by her sisters, Charlotte Phillips of Camanche, Iowa, and Nancy Kohrt of Iowa City, Iowa, and her brother, Steve (JoAnn) Determan of Marion, Iowa, Janet’s memory will be cherished by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Please join us in honoring Janet’s life. A visitation will be held at Pape Funeral Home in Clinton, Iowa, starting at 4:00 PM on Monday, March 4th, followed by a service at 5:00 PM. Burial will be held at St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Casey Kohrt, Chris Schreck, Dan Blazier, Drew Determan, and Rick Determan. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing she was cherished and loved beyond measure.
