Janet M. Wagner age 81 of Dixon, Iowa passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 11th at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in the Dixon Cemetery.
Janet was born in Clinton on June 20, 1944, the daughter of Hans and Martha (Wolff) Henzel. She graduated from Clinton High School. Janet married Karl Wagner on September 13, 1986 in Davenport. Janet had been a Data Entry Operator at Alcoa for 30 years. She also owned and operated Grandma’s Attic in Clinton. Janet loved horses, small dogs, and all animals. She enjoyed playing cards and collecting Bryer Horses and dolls. Sharing a glass of wine with friends and family always put a smile on her face.
Janet is survived by her husband Karl; her step-sons, Brent (and his wife, Stephanie) of Denver, Colorado, and Evan (and his wife, Chrissy) of Nesbit, Mississippi; 3 grandchildren, Emma, Caleb, and Charlie of Nesbit, and her niece, Sue (Keith) Pinkston of Elvira. She was preceded in death by her parents and her 4 siblings. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to your favorite charity. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
