James F. “Pete” Andresen age 89 of Webster City, IA, formerly of Clinton, IA passed away Monday Aug. 7, 2023 at Southfield Assisted Living in Webster City, IA. Funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday Aug. 19 at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be held Saturday Noon – 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pete was born on Nov. 15, 1933 in Clinton, IA the son of Martin and Florence (Dean) Andresen. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1952. He married JoAnn Zirbes on Nov. 26, 1955 in Clinton, IA; she died in 2018. Pete worked at the former First National Bank, Clinton in the Loan Department for many years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Clinton Moose Lodge. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, shooting pool, eating out, and spending time with family.
Pete is survived by his three daughters – Julie (Darryl) Pagel of Webster City, IA, Sally (Philip) McCully of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Kathy (Tim) Fullick of Lakeland, TN. six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and sisters-in-law, Shirlie Andresen of Camanche, IA and Ardena Zirbes of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brothers Martin “Andy”, Robert & Jack and sister, Dorothy.
