James E. Tanner, age 61 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at MercyOne Clinton. According to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. James was born in Mason City, IA on November 27, 1960, the son of Lawrence and Shirley (Cree) Tanner. James served in the US Army. He married Denise Selser on May 28, 2016 in Clinton. James worked as a mechanic. He loved to work on cars, watch car shows and races….everything was about cars.

James is survived by his wife Denise of Clinton; a son James (Sabrina) Tanner II of Clinton; step daughter Nancy (Cody) Massey of Clinton; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mickey (Mark) Vanden Berg of Beaumont, CA, Wendy (Toshio) Tanner of Elk Grove, CA, and Danelle (Ron) Perez of Lakewood, CA; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
