Gary exemplified fatherhood through his actions, demonstrating unwavering support and love for his son, Brian, every single day. Gary had persevering faith. He understood his need for a relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ. Gary knew his eternity awaited him in heaven.

Gary was a lifelong fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Dallas Cowboys. In his honor, those attending are welcome to wear attire from his favorite teams to celebrate the joy they brought him. While not expected, it would be a special way to remember him.
